Another successful year at C4 Day (Career Day) is in the books, and we’re grateful to have participated alongside local students and educators from Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools.
Events like this, hosted by the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce and Cabarrus Economic Development, are a powerful reminder of how important it is for local businesses to stay connected with their communities.
The demand for skilled trades continues to grow across our region and beyond. For the past two years, Blue Collar Trades has made a conscious decision to be part of the solution—not just observers of the problem.
By participating in events like C4 Day, we are able to connect directly with students, share real career opportunities, and highlight the value of working in HVAC and electrical trades.
Not every interaction leads to an immediate hire—and that’s okay.
Sometimes, the goal is simply to plant a seed. A conversation today can become a career path tomorrow. Other times, we meet students who are ready now—motivated, capable, and eager to step into the workforce.
Both moments matter.
One of the most impactful takeaways from this year’s event was a simple but powerful idea:
A school system cannot thrive apart from its community.
We saw firsthand the different pathways our local education systems are creating to prepare students for success. These efforts, combined with community involvement, are shaping a stronger, more capable future workforce.
At Blue Collar Trades, we believe our role goes beyond providing HVAC and electrical services.
We are committed to:
We believe in building relationship capital through service, presence, and consistency.
Because the future of our industry—and our community—depends on it.
